Help is Needed Now
Adult primary brain cancer is a very serious and often fatal disease. Until recently, there has not been a lot of attention focused on this type of cancer, despite more and more adults getting diagnosed every year. In 2016, close to 80,000 new cases of primary brain cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. New and more effective treatments are needed now.
About the Grant
In 2016, the Amy Gallagher Foundation will award one grant to a regional nonprofit hospital-based research program focused on new and emerging treatments for adult patients with primary brain cancer (ages 18 or over). To be eligible for the grant, the hospital must offer a neuro-oncology division specialized in treating adult brain cancer. Most importantly, in the application, a description of the program must be documented.
